About Tinuy-an Falls
"Tinuy-an Falls, nestled in the lush rainforest of Bislig City, R.A. 11038 or an Act Declaring Protedted area and a ecotourism site known for its unique multi-tiered, cascading block-type waterfalls. With a vertical drop of 22 meters and a total height of 42.7 meters, it spans an average width of 63.66 meters, drawing comparisons to Canada’s Niagara Falls. The surrounding Tinuy-an watershed is rich in biodiversity, home to 144 plant species and 210 animal species, including the critically endangered Philippine Eagle. The presence of eagle nests and sightings, including the first rescue of a juvenile eagle named “Tinuy-an” in 2007, highlight the area as a vital breeding ground for the species."
